Home About Our Priorities Initiatives & Grants Newsroom

While medical practice is often referred to as an art, supporting scientific research is the underlying force that insures a clear, direct pathway to quality patient care. And, as medical science continues to evolve with enhancements and new discoveries, care should be based upon the most up-to-date scientific and clinical evidence.

This knowledge-based approach is the foundation for our Advancing Clinical Excellence initiative, which offers ongoing support to those valuable medical specialty societies that play a key role in improving clinical care delivery. These leading organizations help improve clinical care based on their reputable, most current and relevant scientific evidence. Some of our partners include the Medical Group Management Association, the American College of Cardiology Foundation, the American College of Radiology, the American Gastroenterological Association Institute and the American Medical Association Foundation.

Without doubt, there are often several ways for a physician to treat a patient’s medical condition. As a patient you have a right to expect that your physician is using the most current knowledge in choosing how to manage your condition. Physicians should expect that they will be supported in their continuing quest to apply the best information to their practice.
